How To Embed Audio In A Wordpress Blog
Trust you will enjoy and benefit from this short little video I just uploaded on YouTube showing how to insert mp3 audio files into your Wordpress posts and pages.
Please let me know if you have any questions and what you thought of the video.
I am planning on adding several more “how to” videos in the future dealing with various aspects of online marketing. If you have any special requests please do not hesitate to let me know.

A good and helpful video BUT your instruction does not show how to use the plugin. Precisely how do we get the audio player icon to the relevant pages and/or posts. Would really appreciate your assistance on this. Thank you and happy days.

Hi Norjamil,
Thanks for your message. I did not elaborate on how to use the plugin as this is explained on the 1 Pixel Out website:
Anyway, I guess maybe the instructions on the website is not clear enough and trust the following steps will help you.
(I am assuming you have already made a mp3 recording and just want to use the plugin to embed it in a wordpress post)
Step 1. Download the audio-player.zip file to your desk top.
Step 2. Extract the file contents and upload it to your plugins folder.
Here is one way of doing it… Open your Wordpress Cpanel and click on the ‘File Manager’ icon. Next, if you have installed Wordpress in your root directory, click on the briefcase icon next to ‘public_html’. Next, click on the briefcase icon next to ‘wp-content’. Next, click on the briefcase icon next to ‘plugins’. This will open your plugins folder. On top of the screen there is an ‘upload file’ link. Use this link to browse and locate the file you wish to upload from your desk top.
Step 3. Go to your Wordpress wp-admin section (dashboard) and click on the ‘Plugins’ icon. This will list all your current plugins. Simply locate the new plugin you have just installed and activate it.
Step 4. Create a new folder in your Cpanel root directory (if that is where you installed Wordpress) and call it ‘audio’.
This is how to do it - You should open your Cpanel and click on the ‘File Manager’ icon. Next, click on the briefcase icon next to ‘public_html’ (root directory). At the top of the page there is a link that says ‘Create new Folder’. Click on this link and type in audio.
Step 5. Decide what you are going to call your mp3 and upload it into the ‘audio’ file. (You can simply open the audio file after you have created it and use the ‘upload file’ function as you did when you uploaded the plugin)
Step 6. Insert the audio message in your blog.
For example, assume the audio message is called abc.mp3 then you would simply type the following code anywhere in your blog post where you would like to audio icon to be displayed [audio:abc.mp3]
Step 7. You can customize by it going to your ‘wp-admin’ dashboard. Select the ‘options’ folder and click on the ‘Audio player’ link. Simply select the available options you want.
Trust this has answered your question. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
All the best,

Thanks. It’s my pleasure.
I am planning on posting regular “how to” videos and your post reminded me of the importance to be as specific as possible.
Wishing you all the very best!

Hi,
i must admit that i’ver never seen it this way.
But to succeed with making money online, i ‘d strongly advice that you get yourself a treasure map - a roadmap to Affiliate success …*-)

Hi Michael,
Thanks for commenting.
There are many ways to make money online and affiliate marketing is only one option, although it is a very good option. However, you are right that it is important to have a ‘roadmap’…
I often get the impression that many marketers have no roadmap. They take some action but have no idea how to follow up or what to do next.
All the best,
Francois

Hi Francois
Thanks for an excellent post on adding audio to my Blog, as well as the Hi-Q recorder which looks a really useful recorder that I can use elsewhere too.
To answer your questions, I think that the way you are doing things right now is spot on. Only posting once a week, excellent quality information is definitely appreciated by me.
I find that emails every 5 minutes or long emails just don’t work for me.
The audio message is a good idea as I can be doing something mundane at the same time.
Video is a great addition, especially to explain a new concept. Just a thought with a video containing URLs, it would be great to have them summarised at the end of the video. Either as part of the video, or in text directly below.
Keep up the good work Francois!

Hi Duncan,
Thanks a lot for posting your comments!
I fully agree with you that it is a good idea to post a list of URLs at the end of a video or as a text message below the video. I will make a point of doing this in the future.
All the best,
Francois
