Fully agree that it&#039;s not always easy (or profitable) to follow your passion. However, I&#039;ll always advise newbies to start by researching niche markets that they are passionate about or at least interested in. It&#039;s just so much easier if you love and enjoy what you are doing...

As a matter of interest, ancient history may not be a bad niche... Based on Wordtracker the term &quot;ancient history&quot; gets searched for 428 times a day. You may want to have a closer look at it... I am pretty sure you&#039;ll find some good resources in the public domain as well. Just my 2c.

Really some gems in that post especially about the nature of the product and the viable market.

Still  there is a bit of a struggle between promoting a product in a competitive market and following your passion.

My passion is ancient history but alas there is not much of a market while I am sure of getting a  few sales from weight loss though I dont care much for diets and calories  and wouldn&#039;t know a good cholesterol from a bad one :-)

But anyways you should make this post into a pdf and name it the newbie manifesto.
