Selling Your Online Marketing Skills To Local Businesses
We are often so focused on making money online that we don’t even consider how we can apply our online marketing skills in helping local businesses.
A while ago I saw a very interesting thread on Warrior Forum posted by Andrew Cavanagh on just how easy it is to make $1,500 a day (starting today) by using your online marketing skills to help local businesses in your area.

You see, I had several sales & marketing jobs in the corporate world before I eventually quit the corporate rat race in 2006 to become a full-time internet marketer and I know just how difficult it can be to establish your credibility in a faceless online community.
Many of the products I sold offline while working in the corporate world could also be purchased online. However, I always found that most of my customers appreciated and actually preferred face-to-face contact.
My regular visits, sincere interest in what they were doing and support really made a difference and helped me to establish very strong offline business relationships. In fact many of these business relationships turned into close personal friendships that still continue to this very day!

We always had a saying that if you are dealing with a hungry market you eventually become an “order taker” and not a “salesperson”. I had many customers invite me to dinner and one customer even invited Astrid and I to a very expensive private game reserve for the weekend. (We have some really great game reserves in South Africa!)
Anyway, I am getting a bit carried away… Bottom line, it is much easier to establish your credibility and build strong business relationships offline than online.
In fact, I am convinced that most of the close relationships some gurus have with each other were not established online but offline during internet marketing seminars, conferences, etc. where they really got to know each other over a couple of drinks at the bar!
There is a huge and highly profitable market in helping local businesses! Most local business owners (and I am not talking about big corporations either) have a simple website (often not very effective), are thinking of getting a website or are at least not opposed to having an online presence. These guys often know NOTHING about online marketing and really need your help…
